Kwanzaa: Kujichagulia

In partnership with National Black United Front - KC, AJM presents the 38th Annual City-Wide Kwanzaa Celebration! The 38th Annual City-Wide Kwanzaa Celebration is a week long cultural festival based on Continental African "first fruits" Kwanzaa celebrates African and African-American family, community, history, traditions and culture. The second night celebrates Kujichagulia, meaning self-determination.

Each night from December 26th to December 31st, an African market featuring local vendors begins at 6:00 pm. Then programs or a performance by a local organization will start at 7:00 pm. Each night features a different program or performance.
