Jazz Workshop & Catharsis Concert

 

AJM is hosting a two-part public program in partnership with The National World War I Museum and Memorial.

 

1:30pm Atrium of American Jazz Museum

The first program features an educational talk about Lieutenant James Reese Europe, a ragtime and jazz bandleader during World War I. The talk will be followed by jazz quartet Catharsis with selections from their song book.

 

6:00pm National World War I Museum and Memorial

The second program is a full-length concert by Catharsis at the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert starts at 6:30 p.m. A small reception will be held before the concert begins.
