Jazz Storytelling

Offered FREE on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in the atrium of the American Jazz Museum for children in the greater Kansas City area. The program introduces kids to the sounds and styles of jazz, America’s art form! JAZZ Storytelling features an internationally renowned cast including vocalist Lisa Henry, storyteller Brother John, bassist Tyrone Clark, and drummer Mike Warren.

On May 26, 2017, two sessions of Jazz Storytelling will take place. The second will begin at 11 am. Please note that Kansas City Jazz & Heritage Festival Road Closures will be in effect Friday, May 26. Jazz Storytelling patrons will be able to access the Gregg-Klice Community Center parking lot for Jazz Storytelling by turning on Vine from 19th street. Beginning at 2 pm, access to these streets will require a Neighborhood Resident Access Pass issued by Kansas City Jazz & Heritage Festival.
