Jazz Storytelling

Offered FREE on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in the atrium of the American Jazz Museum for children in the greater Kansas City area. The program introduces kids to the sounds and styles of jazz, America’s art form! JAZZ Storytelling features an internationally renowned cast including vocalist Lisa Henry, storyteller Brother John, bassist Tyrone Clark, and drummer Mike Warren.

From July 21st through August 11th, The American Jazz Museum is partnering with Harvesters Community Food Network to provide free, nutritional meals to kids as part of Kids Café, a program designed to serve meals to children under 18 who are at risk of hunger. "Meet and Eat" meal service will take place from 11-11:30 am following Jazz Storytelling. Patrons of Kids Café are required to stay on site to complete their meals.
