B2 Experience featuring Nicole Shaunte

Nicole Shaunte’ is a multi-faceted musical talent and native of Kansas City, MO. She’s been heavily influenced from vocal ability and work ethic by profound artist such as Kim Burrell, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark Sheard, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Beyonce’ and several others. Being a high school and collegiate athlete, Nicole has rendered the National Anthem for several of her own sporting events and others around the city. Nicole was awarded a Music and athletic scholarship from Avila University where she continued her passion studying Music Vocal Performance and minored in Musical Theater. Over the course of the completion of her degree, in 2007, she had been introduced to a plethora of different genres, studied with amazing professors, developed her craft and endured rigorous amount of vocal techniques through professional training. Her list of musicals that she performed at Avila University were: First Lady Suite, a chamber musical by Michael John LaChiusa, and the leading role of Aida, in the ever most popular Broadway musical by Elton John and Time Rice’s Aida. After graduating college Nicole auditioned for The Woman of Brewster Place, music and lyrics by Tim Acito, at the Unicorn Theater and gained the role as Cora Lee. 

In Nicole Shaunte’s more mature years she’s been a certified Elementary Music teacher for the past 9 years. She’s sang background vocals for the National COGIC records with the request of Asaph “Alex” Ward. She’s given back to her community by singing with the University choir at her alma mater, Avila University, her local church, and various other places. Nicole has performed for awards dinners, Cooperate events, Weddings, Jazz nights, parties and so much more! Nicole is currently working on her own album based on a series of personal events, a Christmas Album, Children’s Nursery Rhymes and much more!

Blair Bryant is a 22 year old emerging contemporary-jazz artist, currently signed to the Innervision Records Label. He is a musical prodigy, plays over 14 instruments and is a prolific, writer and producer. A product of the UMKC Conservatory of Music and the Grammy Music Experience, his first release “New Colours” was ranked one of the top 10 best Jazz CDs of 2015 (Talkingsmoothjazz.com) and yielded a national Top 10 hit single “Lightning Bug.” (Groove Jazz Music) You can hear Blair on Smooth Jazz radio stations across the country, including Pandora, Spotify, CDBaby, Amazon and Itunes. His second CD “Gold” released August of 2016 has had two songs that has been on the charts "Lift Off" and "Secret Agent".

Blair Bryant started out like most kids playing drums, congas and bongos. He picked up playing the bass at age 13, and after mastering that, incorporated lead guitar, lead bass and keyboards into his repertoire. He has been writing and recording since the age of 16, and has amassed hundreds of original jazz compositions where he plays all instruments.  

Blair is a fierce bassist who plays the upright double bass and electronic fretless, 7 String Conklin, 6 string ESP and 5 string Fender Jazz basses. He also plays Yamaha Stage Custom drums, Korg, Kurzweil and Yamaha Motif Keyboards, Fender Rhodes, Hammond Organs, B3 and XK1.   Blair’s “sound” (writing and playing style) is upbeat, very layered, lush and evocative of many different tonal colors and moods. He has been favorably compared to Stanley Clarke, Joe Sample and Wayman Tisdale.
