Spring Semester Graphic Design Internship

(Part-time, temporary, unpaid internship)

AJM is seeking highly motivated, creative, enthusiastic, and hard-working design Intern to join our Communications team. The Intern will assist in the planning and execution of both digital and print marketing materials for the Museum. This is a great opportunity to understand the working process and day-to-day responsibilities of a cultural institution's in-house design team through hands-on learning and execution. The Intern will work under the guidance of the Director of Development and Communication to ensure quality and visual cohesion in accordance with our brand.

The ideal candidate is: 

  • A graphic design and/or visual communications major
  • Proficient in design and typography
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to thrive within a team environment while sometimes working independently
  • An outside-the-box thinker
  • Passionate about the arts
  • And has excellent written and verbal communication skills

Start date: Spring 2018 Semester

Work Schedule: Flexible, around 12+ hours per week
