Media Advisory: Dixie® Raising the BBQ
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KC Film and The American Jazz Museum would like to alert residents, motorists, and visitors about an upcoming 6-day closure of 18th St from Paseo Blvd to Highland Ave and Vine St between 17th Terr and 19th St, including the parking lot at the corner of 18th St and Vine. The closure will begin July 18, 2017 and will end July 23, 2017. The closure is necessary for the preparation and filming of the live commercial event “Raising the BARbeque” hosted by Dixie Ultra® plates. The event takes the traditional summer barbeque to new heights with an extreme dining experience featuring a suspended restaurant at 18th and Vine. During the street closure, all sidewalks and businesses, including the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, will be open during regular business hours. Street parking will be available on 19th St, Highland Ave, 17th Terr, and 18th St east of Highland Ave. There is also parking available at Gregg Klice Community Center and the Attucks School parking lots. A more detailed press release will follow about the commercial shooting and free family-friendly event.
