AMERICAN JAZZ MUSEUM – “WHERE IT LIVES”
|Metropolitan Jazz Workshop of Kansas City is an official progressive jazz education program of Metropolitan Community College – Penn Valley, a longtime partner of the American Jazz Museum.
Students enroll for participation through MCC-Penn Valley.
History and Faculty
Metropolitan Jazz Workshop of Kansas City evolved from the faculty and students of the former Kansas City Youth Jazz program. The artistic director is Clarence Smith. Faculty members are Stan Kessler, Chris Burnett, Bill McKemy, and Jason Goudeau.

The address for The American Jazz Museum is 1616 East 18th Street, Kansas City, MO. For each AJM rehearsal, all students must bring their wire music stands and of course instruments and music.
