“Bird Lives” Music BOOT CAMP!!

This session will include a progressive music boot camp for students of all ages (adult musicians welcome) who wish to be fully immersed in the music of the Jazz Legend and composer , Charlie Parker. The session will be lead by a host of selected KC jazz artists representing each instrument within the jazz ensemble including Saxes, Trumpet, Trombone, and Rhythm (piano, bass, drums).

The culminating activity for the Saturday boot camp will be an invitation for students to attend and participate in the Celebrating Bird Blue Monday Jam Session on August 25th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm in the Blue Room at the American Jazz Museum.

This session is sponsored by the American Jazz Museum in cooperation with a host of invited educators and institutions.
